Does Canquest supply service in my neighbourhood?
What do I need for Canquest phone service to work?
We require our customers to have a good clear/ reliable internet service.
Note: Go to www.speedtest.net to check your internet speed.
Do we need to leave our computer on to use the Canquest system?
There is no requirement for a computer at all.
Do I need a special phone or phone system?
Canquest service is universally compatible with all phones and phone systems.
For home phone users, we recommend using cordless phones as opposed to corded phones.
Corded phone jacks will have to be wired to allow ring tone and audio.
Cost for rewiring TBD and will be quoted to customer before installation.
If we lose internet service can we still make phone calls?
No, the internet replaces your phone lines and is typically very reliable.
Will Canquest services continue to work during a power outage?
If you have installed a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) you will be able to continue using your Canquest services as normal. UPS’s are available at any of your local computer stores. This is important if you need 911 access during power outages.
Can we cancel our phone service at any time without additional fees?
Yes you can without additional fees.
Does Canquest support 911/411 service?
Absolutely, Canquest is connected to a Canadian 911 / 411 Service Centre.
Applicable rates will apply to 411 service.
How does Canquest bill for their services?
You will receive a monthly statement emailed to you.
All payments are made by pre authorized credit card or bank debit.
Will there be any interruptions in our service during installation?
In all cases it is seamless.
I am a traveler, can I bring my service with me?
Yes, if you are leaving for an extended period of time, Canquest can set up your services to follow you where ever you go.
Please note: You must notify Canquest of your new address for 911 services to confirm availability.
