TELUS RENEWS CONTRACT FOR THREE YEARS WITH CANQUEST


May 1, 2006 – TELUS Communications, Inc., the largest telecommunications company in Western Canada and the second largest in the country, has renewed its contract with Canquest until 2009 to provide Point-of-Sale Activation services, PrePaid long distance switching and PrePaid Internet authentications.

Under the Agreement, TELUS will continue to license some of Canquest’s copyrighted technologies to deploy PrePaid technologies throughout their vast distribution network with those that have advanced POS networks. By utilizing each other’s strengths, national multi-lane retailers throughout the country will now be able to merchandise and bring a suite of PrePaid products into mainstream.

Canquest technologies are already integrated into two of TELUS' customers, Safeway and Save-On-Foods grocery stores located throughout western Canada.
