CANQUEST ENERGIZES SAFEWAY POSA SYSTEMS FOR PREPAID

Canquest Communications, Canada’s premier provider of prepaid services including long distance, Internet, mobile PINs and POSA systems, energized 219 Safeway Canada POSA systems, for its supplier, TELUS, to activate prepaid products. One of North America’s largest food and drug retailers and Western Canada’s largest telephone company, using Canquest copyrighted technology is now able to sell the following products:

• Safeway branded low rate prepaid long distance phonecards

• Safeway branded no connection fee prepaid long distance phonecards

• Prepaid Internet

Canquest provides the POSA technology for many of Canada’s multi-lane retailers including Wal*Mart, Loblaws, Save-On Foods and Hbc / Zellers.

Long Distance and Internet services is being provided exclusively by TELUS.
