Canquest Wireless Donates Cellular Phones and Service to Chatham-Kent's Recreation Services Division for Summer Playground Programs

June 15, 2000 - Chatham, Ontario, Canada - Canquest Wireless today announced a donation of cellular phones and cellular airtime to Chatham-Kent's Recreation Services Division. The cellular phones will provide emergency communications assistance to the Recreation Division Summer Programs. Supervisors for the children's playground programs will be given cellular phones for the summer in case of a need to make emergency phone calls.

"The cellular phones and service donated by Canquest Wireless will be a valuable communication tool," said Program Supervisor, Sue Williams. "For example, some of our Playground summer staff will have access to a cellular phone to use in case of emergencies while working with children this coming summer in the parks where no traditional access to phones is available."

"The donated cellular phones and airtime will allow the Recreation summer staff to instant access to emergency services, should it ever be required," said John W. Smith, CEO of Canquest Wireless. "Sometimes minutes or seconds can make a difference. Access to a cellular phone for the Supervisors or Coordinators will alleviate emergency situations while working at the Playground Programs in Chatham-Kent."
