September 28th, 1999/ Chatham, ON, Canada: Canquest Communications (Wireless) Inc. and BMI division of Bruce Municipal Telephone Services (BMTS) have partnered to provide cellular services to more than 14,000 of its telephone customers in Bruce County and its internet customers in Bruce, Huron Grey and Simcoe counties.

Rooted in the early years of the 1900's, BMTS was established to offer the families of Bruce Township with a telephone system to link them to one another and nearby towns. After decades of reliable, progressive service BMTS strives to provide leading edge technology while continuing to recognize the importance of being an integral part of the communities in which it does business. 

Canquest Communications (Wireless) Inc. is poised to take a leadership position in prepaid wireless telephony processing based on the ability to dynamically respond to the rapidly changing world of telecommunications through advanced technology developed and copyrighted by an "in-house" development team.

The BMI division of the Bruce Municipal Telephone Service is the Internet Service Provider (ISP), providing service to communitites in Bruce, Huron Grey and Simcoe counties. Their installed based has grown to over 10,000.
